Young Playwrights Festival
"Reality may be big on TV, but clearly some
American teenagers are finding plenty of fertile material in their own imaginations, if
the four short plays in this year's Young Playwrights Festival presentation are anything
to judge by. All share an admirable willingness to take their appealingly human
characters to the edge of fantasy and beyond. This invaluable annual event, founded by
Stephen Sondheim to showcase and encourage writers 18 and under, is celebrating its 20th
anni this season." Charles Isherwood,
Variety
Writers Conference
"Thanks again for everything. It was a week I will
never forget, and a group of people I will always include in my life. Cheers!" Lauren
Gunderson, author of Parts They Call Deep, 2001 Writers Conference
