Young Playwrights Festival XXIV
May 9 -27, 2006
Sondheim’s YPF XXIV gives center
stage to Kit Steinkellner (CA), Miriam Eichenbaum (NY), and Deborah Yarchun
(TX) who may just steal the limelight from their now older YPF alums Kenneth
Lonergan, Rebecca Gilman, Keith Glover, Jerome Hairston, and Madeleine George.
Three award-winners -- LOS ANGELES LULLABY, SUICIDE CLUB, and FREEZE FRAME make up a
single night of theater that is engaging, disturbing, and provocative — but leave the youngsters
at home (under 11) because these teenagers ain’t interested in children’s
theater!
And make sure you're in the house for
a special reading of QUALIS VITA by Alexandria Symonds -- see the work of an
up-and-coming young playwright without paying a penny! (May 21, 22, and
23)
